Fan Faire ‘08

The SOE Fan Faire might be the one weekend where it is literally impossible to separate work from non-work life.

For three days it was an inundation of EQII, SOE’s new products and people everywhere who all seemed to want to hug me. And I have to admit it was a lot of fun. I get to interact with EQII players a fair bit on forums, reading their feedback and on the Test Server but it is nothing like being there in person. Seeing people have a visceral and emotional reaction to things that the team is saying was quite literally inspiring even when they’re booing.

Even though I lost $80 or so on the slot machines and felt pretty damn awful most of the trip from the smoke in the hotel I came home reinvigorated to jump back into work and to play EQII with a passion!
