My First Blog Post about Me

I’ve written Blog posts for work before.  But never one just about me.

My basic question is what do I do with a blog?  I can’t talk about work much since I don’t want to get fired for talking about stuff that’s still in development.  Nor do I want to sit around and gripe about random personality conflicts that happen at the office… does anyone actually care about those except me.. even remotely??

So that leaves me with writting about what I’m thinking about after work and what I’m doing.  Tonight was a great example of a totally average and unexciting night.  Around 6:30 I left work and drove thru Wendy’s to get dinner.  There were no baked potatoes which made me seriously consider bailing on the whole transaction but that’s a lot work, so I ate the salty fries.  I’ve stopped ordering hambergers and steaks unless it seems really socially bad to stand out… like going for “steaks” with friends and then asking for the grilled chicken and a side salad.   I know that eatting beef is harder on the environment than eatting chicken is so in general I’m enjoying different kinds of chicken.

So after a slightly disappointing meal that i scarf down I start logging into World of Warcraft.  I play once a week we some of my RL friends that I’m separated from as we all live in different parts of the country now.  In terms of play enjoyment this is the best part of the week.  Even if we die horribly and leave frustrated and confused… I know that i got to spend time with 4 people that I wouldn’t be talking with at all were it not for the MMO itself.

I got reminded today that my grasp of games in general is getting a bit old.  SuperMario 3 is no longer the “cool” game to have and my XBoX360 is being woefully underused.  So I was thinking about making a concerted effeort to try out what’s happen on those consoles.

Its a bit too late tonight but I have a whole weekend in front of me to find out if I can get hooked on to a console game for a bit!
